Sponsor an MCF Child’s Education

One of MCF’s key goals is improving migrant children’s access to education. This can be by providing English classes, setting up MCF Kids’ Clubs with International schools and arranging day trips for Migrant School classes. Through these activities MCF helps, supports and improves the lives of hundreds of school children every year. However, every so often MCF comes across children and their families who are unable to take even the first step towards education: enrolling their child into a school.

Migrant schools are set up to offer a basic level of education to children who would otherwise receive none, but even they have to charge fees to support the school and keep it running. School fees are usually around 3000RMB per child, per term, far lower than other schools, but still too much for some migrant families to afford. When MCF hears of children whose families are unable to pay for their school fees we do our best to step in and pay for them and this is where you can help us make a difference to a child’s life.

There are currently several families that MCF is aware of who need help paying for their school fees. Please click on one of the stories below to read more about some of these families and how you can help sponsor a child’s education.
